
Grab a wand or broomstick and lay down on your back.
Hold the ends of the stick or wand with both of your hands such that your palms are facing down while holding.
Keeping your elbows straight, slowly lift the stick with your arms to reach over your head to the level that gives you a good, gentle stretch in your shoulders, upper back, and chest.
Hold this stretch for 15 to 30 seconds depending on how much you can tolerate it without any discomfort.
Return to the starting position.
Relax and repeat 2 to 4 times.
